Transforming Rooms and Spaces with Decorative Painting.
Join us on Wednesday, June 20th 7-9pm with Kim Bahr, Decorpaint.
May 10 - June 23, 2012
Wednesday, June 20th 7-9pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm
Transforming Rooms and Spaces with Decorative Pain
Have you dreamed of having a Moroccan style Mom cave...or a japanese inspired Zen space...or are you a history buff who would love to be surrounded by greco-roman columns? Or do you want to turn your child's room into a fairytale castle or underwater wonderland?

If this sounds intriguing or you just want to learn more about what today's hottest interior designers (like those at the Kips Bay Decorator Show House)are using to transform walls...and entire rooms, then join us on Wednesday, June 20th for an interactive evening on Decorative Painting.

Join us for a free event with Kim Bahr, owner of Decorpaint on Wednesday, June 20th from 7-9pm. The event will take place at 3732 Riverdale Avenue, Lower Level at Sotheby's Realty, Riverdale NY. RSVP to Lisa@ElisaArt.com

Kim will share how she transforms plain walls (floors and even ceilings) into amazing spaces using a range of processes, influences and techniques...all with paint!
  • Creating Finishes and Textures including Venetian Plaster, color washing and antiquing
  • Finding inspiration from colors, shapes and patterns from around the world to create multi-cultural spaces
  • Hand painting interior walls - from trees to columns and mosaics and more
  • Using Geometric patterns on your walls and floors
  • Painted patterns and designs to create the interior of your dreams
She has helped transform spaces from studio apartments to large homes. Imagine making a small entryway look bigger by painting vertical stripes, or turning a white bathroom into a garden oasis.

Kim's clients have often ask her about wallpaper vs. decorative painting. And here's what she says: "For comparable costs to wallpaper, a client can have custom colors, patterns and designs! Whether it's a small area, or whole room, the possibilities and choices are endless"

Bring your questions and get some great ideas and insights to enhance your space (big or small) into an oasis with abundant beauty and imagination.

To join us, please RSVP to Lisa@ElisaArt.com or 212.729.4974. Please include: name, email, number of attendees. Space is limited.

Street parking is available and accessible by Public Transportation

About Kim Bahr
Decorative painter and artist Kim Bahr developed her love of color, natural beauty, art and architecture while traveling around the world as a fashion model. Upon returning home, Kim wanted a new direction in her career and decided to utilize her creativity.

After studying art and decorative painting at New York City's Pratt University, Kim created her painting business. For the past eighteen years, professional architects, decorators, and designers have relied on her unique vision and talent to transform interiors for their clients on the east coast.

When asked what she loves most about her career, Kim offers this observation: "The most rewarding thing about what I do is that I am beautifying the world we live in, one room at a time, and creating spaces that people truly love and enjoy being in. I help my clients live their dreams."

The evening will take place surrounded by the latest pop-up exhibit Tickled PINK from Elisa Contemporary Art at at 3732 Riverdale Avenue, Lower Level, Riverdale NY 10463 through August. The viewing hours are daily 10 am – 5pm. To confirm viewing dates/times, please contact Lisa Cooper, owner, Elisa Contemporary Art, at 212.729.4974 or Lisa@ElisaArt.com
