Congratulations to Melinda Hackett for being part of Parrish Museum's Artists Choose Artists - Opening on August 20th

Artists Choose Artists is the Parrish Art Museum’s second juried exhibition that celebrates artists on the East End and the dynamic relationships uniting the area’s creative community.

For this exhibition, seven distinguished East End artists served as jurors, each making two selections from 200 online submissions and subsequent studio visits. A reflection of the region’s unique heritage as an artists’ colony, Artists Choose Artists initiates introductions and fellowship among today’s expanded, multi-generational network of artists.

The exhibition is comprised of work by the seven jurors and fourteen artists as follows:

  • Alice Aycock with Kryn Olson and Mike Solomon
  • Ross Bleckner with Renate Aller and Mary Ellen Bartley
  • Dan Rizzie with Ross Watts and Tad Wiley
  • Matthew Satz with Terry Elkins and Liliya Lifanova
  • Gary Simmons with Perry Burns and Melinda Hackett
  • Agathe Snow with Alice Hope and Nella Khanis
  • Frank Wimberley with Fulvio Massi and Julie Small-Gamby

  • The exhibit will run from August 21 through October 9, 2011 at the Parrish Museum, 25 Jobs Lane, Southampton, NY.

A special reception will take place on Saturday, August 20th at 6pm
